How to Find a Real Estate Professional |
|||
|
Finding the right person to assist you in locating and purchasing a home is one of the most important decisions you will make as a homebuyer. You may want to talk to family members, friends and neighbors who have had a good experience with a real estate professional in purchasing Government-Owned homes that are typically referred to by real estate professionals as REO properties. Since the process for locating these homes and submitting bids is different than the traditional real estate process, it can be helpful to work with a real estate professional who is knowledgeable about purchasing REO properties. You will be working closely with this person, so it is important that you find someone you feel comfortable with and who is attuned to your specific needs and situation. To submit a bid on a HUD-owned (Government-Owned) property in our portfolio of homes, the bid must come from a real estate professional who is currently registered with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). To submit a bid on a Bank-Owned property, the bid must come from a real estate professional who is currently licensed to sell property in the state in which the property is located. HUD requires that all offers on HUD-owned properties be submitted through a HUD-registered real estate professional. For a list of local approved agents, please click on " Property Listings: HUD Owned" that will take you to the bidding site. Look in the section entitled "Find a registered broker/agent." You may also consult your local yellow pages. |
